Organization of production method and management in larger dairy stocks

The author puts forward organizational aspects of production method and management. In his opinion these aspects provide preferential solutions to promote successful milk production in larger units. Production method and management require a material basis (construction and mechanical aids) as well as intelligent know-how which determines structures and progress of the production method, collects, stores and analyses information. From an economic point of view the material components of this method should be used as restrictively as possible and the intellectual one as intensely as necessary. From a technical point of view preference should be given to the cubicle house where cows receive a feed mixture and are milked in a rotolactor. Management system should be organized hierarchically, special attention being payed to the cows' responses to the various influences.
