摘要：
This article presents an analysis of the development of methods for the exchange of knowledge in distance learning systems. The main attention is focused on the issue of the use of semantics and ontology-based mechanisms for analyzing multimedia data. Also, the discussion includes issues of selecting a set of descriptors and the structure of the knowledge base that can be used in educational applications. In the final part of the article is presented a proposal structure of the system for the analysis of the database containing multimedia podcasts.
