摘要
In the present study, entropy as a measure of uncertainty and signal complexity has been used in the interpretation of the wavelet results of the electrochemical noise. After the decomposition of the electrochemical noise into 8 crystals, the entropy of each crystal has been obtained using a kernel density estimator and the Shannon equation. The entropy of the high-frequency crystals in pitting is lower than that of the passive situation, which can be explained by the dominant reactions with short transients in the pitting corrosion. Besides, it has been observed that all frequencies are involved in the passive situation. (C) 2014 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
