摘要
Anxiety and depression are common mental health concerns among medical workers. Improving them is an essential task in human resource management in medical institutions. In the current cross-sectional study, an online questionnaire survey was launched to investigate the prevalence of anxiety and depression in medical workers in Sichuan Province. A total of 1,251 medical professionals were surveyed with a self-developed questionnaire between December 2018 and February 2020. Their responses were analyzed for the prevalence of anxiety and depression and the influencing factors. The overall prevalence of anxiety was 25.10%. Night shift scheduling, annual income, and training in emotion management were found to influencing anxiety occurrence significantly. The overall prevalence of depression was 36.61% and its influencing factors included hospital size, night shift scheduling, annual income, and training in emotion management. According to the findings, anxiety and depression prevalence is high among the medical personnel in Sichuan Province. Greater attention is needed in human resource management, especially in smaller hospitals. Measures such as less frequent night shifts, increased income, and provision of emotion management training may be helpful for bettering the mental health of medical staff.
