摘要：
Multicast or one-to-many communication is one of the most important collective communication operations and is highly demanded in parallel and distributed applications as well as in other communication environments. In this paper, we study the problem of embedding multicast in a class of optical WDM networks. We consider several typical network topologies, such as linear arrays, rings, meshes, ton and hypercubes. For each type of network, we derive the necessary and sufficient conditions on the minimum number of wavelengths required to embed multicast in a network off-line.
