摘要
Language acquisition is a crucial developmental task during the first years of a child's life. Non-achievement leads to massive problems for the child's social and cognitive (school) development. If language problems become apparent, differentiation between primary and secondary language problems can be made. Language disorders represent the most common development disorder. In Germany the prevalence rate lies between 5 and 8%, whereby the rate for affected boys is about 50% higher than for girls. Symptoms are characterized by a high variability and there is also a large age dependency. Diagnostics and treatment are interdisciplinary.
