A compound feedrate control method for multi-axis CNC machining

摘要
This paper represents a compound feedrate control method for sculptured surfaces machining with multi-axis CNC machine tools. To retaining a constant and appropriated surface cutting speed in CNC machining, this method considers the part surface geometry, synthetic movement and kinetics of machine tools. In contrast to those traditional methods, the method can gain more appropriate F-code instruction in NC program. Then a X'Y'ZAB type five-axis machine tool is taken as an example to analyze the translation and rotation movement respectively, and the displacement and velocity changing curves of each axis were displayed as the result. By utilizing aided information file and setting proper F-code in NC program files, this method can facilitate improvement of machining quality and efficiency.
