It is an important approach of teaching innovation on higher education to develop the bilingual teaching in the speciality courses of colleges and universities. The influences on putting bilingual teaching into practice are discussed combining the author's experiences in bilingual teaching to undergraduates whose speciality is mechanical design, manufacturing and automation. The paper points out that courses setup is an important factors influencing student's learning, building the teaching materials which tally with the China's actual conditions are a precondition of implementing bilingual teaching, and the speciality level and the English application capacity of teacher who teaches student in Chinese and English are important influence factors of developing bilingual teaching. The major purpose of teaching in classroom is imparting the speciality knowledge to students and taking them as leading actors.
