摘要：

This paper describes the proxy-based reliable multicast protocol with flow control function that can be adapted to various network environments. The proxy-based architecture enables proxy to set up reliable multicast backbone networks so that applications can use the reliable multicast transport services by connecting the nearest proxies. Therefore, proxy-based reliable multicast allows hosts that are not multicast capable of participating in the group communication through the use of proxy. Also, its function may be expanded to operate under the mobile computing environments.
