摘要
The dielectric properties of paper can be improved by surface sizing with cyanoethylated polyvinyl alcohol (PVA), Acrylonitrile was used to carry out the cyanoethylation of PVA, with sodium hydroxide as the catalyst. The extent of the reaction was evaluated by the Kjeldahl method and FTIR analysis, which showed that the degree of substitution increased with acrylonitrile concentration and reaction time. The dielectric constant was determined with a dielectric thermal analyzer, the crystallinity was examined by wide-angle X-ray diffraction, and the thermal properties were studied by differential scanning calorimetry and thermogravimetric analysis. Cyanoethylated PVA was shown to be structurally stable, with good physical properties and good thermal stability.
