Power spectral analysis of heart rate variability during propofol sedation under spinal anesthesia.

摘要
We studied the effects of sedation with propofol and midazolam in the cardiac autonomic nervous system by heart rate variability (HRV) analysis during low level (below T8 +/- 2) spinal anesthesia. The anesthesia did not change HRV assessed by power spectral analysis. Sedation with these agents produced sympatholysis and parasympathotonic condition in the cardiac autonomic nervous system.
