An Energy Efficient Confident Information Coverage Hole Healing Algorithm in Hybrid Sensor Networks

摘要
In this work, we focus on how to dispatch the mobile sensor nodes to heal the existed coverage holes in hybrid wireless sensor networks containing both stationary sensor nodes and mobile sensor nodes. Based on the proposed novel confident information coverage model(CIC), we formulate and define the confident information coverage hole healing problem(CICHH). For solving the CICHH problem, we design an energy efficient and distributed CIC hole healing algorithm with the goal of minimizing the total energy consumption to move sensors or maximizing the average remaining energy of sensors after movement or minimizing the maximum mobile energy consumption of a single dispatch sensor. The proposed scheme dispatches the mobile sensors in an autonomous manner and allows mobile sensors to determine their moving directions and destinations. Simulation results validate the efficiency of the proposed scheme.
