With the rapid development of information technology, the centralized monitor system can not fulfill the requirement of the applications. Years ago, a PLC or a single computer can be competent. As with the growth of demands, future monitor system prefers distributed network technologies and a kind graphic user interface (GUI). To achieve the intelligent controlling, the computer integrated manufacture (CIM) without manual operation and the management information system (MIS) is the goal. In this paper, a monitoring platform has been realized. It is composed of transport media, data collection module, process module, and GUI. The target is, to achieve a higher efficiency for transportation and report the status of the workstation. The monitor system can collect the status of terminals to detect if there is some exceptions exist. The mean time between failure (MTBF), failure recovery time (FCT) is analyzed to improve the system efficiency. Testing machine consists of workstation and monitor. The Workstation receives data from the monitor (like voltages, current, reaction time...). The Monitor major receives commands from workstation through internet with TCP WinSock based on the Client/Server architecture. The GUI and monitor are connected with RS232 are controlled by VB. The searching thesis is composed of two phases: first, workstation keep receiving the data from the receiver and storing it locally; second, record workstation IP address when workstation start again of use default computer TCP port to transport and receive workstation data. The recorded data is used for analysis and future forecasting the evolution trends. It is expected to transfer monitored data to available statistical module and then reply to the server. Real-Time monitoring can reduce the expense of repair work.
