摘要
Wireless sensor network (WSN) comprises a massive set of sensor nodes which are placed arbitrarily in the target region. Energy efficiency and network longevity are the critical challenges exist in the design of WSN. Clustering is a proficient process commonly applied to attain energy efficiency in the network. At the same time, improper selection of cluster heads (CHs) and possible routes to base station (BS) results in high energy utilization and reduce lifetime of WSN. To resolve this problem, this paper introduces a new oppositional artificial fish swarm (OAFS) based clustering with improved moth flame optimization (IMFO) based routing (OAFS-IMFO) technique for WSN. The proposed OAFS-IMFO technique utilizes OAFS based clustering technique, which effectively elects the CHs. Besides, the OAFS-IMFO technique has elected an optimal selection of routes to BS. The performance of the presented method is validated under various scenarios based on the number of nodes. A wide set of simulations were performed for validating the superiority of the presented model. The simulation outcomes showcased the superior performance of the OAFS-IMFO technique over the compared methods interms of distinct aspects.
