摘要
Since 2012, France's competitors in the global dairy market have strongly increased production. France can become more competitive by reducing costs and improving product value. Depending on the specific area and production system, dairy livestock can be 0 to 100% grass fed; the relative degree of grazing affects diet-related costs. Production costs also include costs related to mechanisation (which are high in Europe), livestock I rearing, landholding, and borrowing, among others. Furthermore, salary (per 1,000 litres of milk produced) vary widely, from 15 (sic) in Denmark to 134 (sic) in Ireland. In France, farm and grassland management had a greater effect than production system on salary. France still has a high percentage of grass-fed cows, which is a marketable advantage.
