Titanium golf clubs

This paper reviews the status of titanium golf club "woods" which have captured a huge share of the market over the past few years. It will also discuss the more recently introduced irons and putters including the use of heavy inserts made from tungsten to optimally locate the center of gravity of the club. Hybrid concepts such as metal matrix composites and high strength steel club heads will also be reviewed.
