摘要
We review recent advances in optical intensity modulation and direct detection (IMDD) transmission technologies for 5G fronthaul applications including modulation, digital signal processing, faster-than-Nyquist signaling, DML based C-band transmission, and PON systems with DSP-free ONUs.
