Study of the fault diagnosis for gear using wavelet packet analysis

摘要
This paper introduces a method of the fault diagnosis for gear using wavelet packet analysis. Torsional vibration signals reflect directly fault character of gear Signal-noise ration of these signals is higher than that of linear vibration signals. Wavelet packet analysis can decompose torsional vibration signals into some independent frequency bands no-redundantly, no-leakage and orthogonally. Torsional vibration signals are analyzed by spectral analysis after wavelet packet decomposition. Fault character of gear is obtained. Thereby determine type and degree of faults.
