摘要
Buried pipeline systems are one of the most important infrastructures; the society safety and stability can benefit from their excellent performances, even in terrible environment such as earthquake. But, buried pipelines infrastructure is decaying at an accelerating rate due to kinds of bad factors, so, it is necessary to develop a method to monitor their performance to reduce their failure risk. A real-time monitoring system of buried pipeline for assessing their aseismic performances is presented herein, which is developed based on distributed optical fiber sensor technique. The article is to develop state of the art concepts and technology for the buried pipelines monitoring system, data acquisition, data interpretation, and utilization of the data for an intelligent renewal of buried infrastructure. Such a system could automate in real time much of the pipeline data acquisition, interpretation and evaluation process and capture the experience and judgment of expert utility engineers in performing condition assessment and identification of appropriate rehabilitation and maintenance strategies.
