摘要
Water pollution is one of the biggest environmental problems in India. Industrialization and urbanization had increased contamination in the water bodies. Over past few decades, the improper disposal of hazardous waste and electronic waste and toxic effluent had increased heavy metal contamination and physicochemical parameter in surface and groundwater bodies. The objectives of this research paper are to assess the heavy metals and physicochemical parameter in surface and groundwater in different land use pattern, i.e. industrial area, agricultural area and urban area. The surface water samples were collected from different streams and rivers and groundwater samples were collected from tubewell, well and borewells during summer season, pre-monsoon season and post-monsoon season. The parameters like pH, DO, temperature, conductivity, bicarbonate, fluoride and heavy metals Fe, Pb, Cu, Zn, Cd, Cr, As, Sr and B were analyzed in the laboratory.
