An Analysis on Spatial Differentiation and Spatial Expansion of County Economic Development in Hebei Province of China

The article analyzes development of county economic in Hebei, in order to find spatial expansion direction of the region. By factor analysis and cluster analysis, it classifies 136 counties into four groups: developed, middle, lower-middle and less developed counties. Results show that county economic has no enough competition. significant differentiation between the southern and the northern, developed counties distributes along the principal axis, and less developed counties contiguous distribution. surrounding Beijing and Tianjin. Spatial expansion of county economic in Hebei should be along with three axes: the principal, the joint and ecological axis.
