Advances in KAISER effect of rock acoustic emission based on wavelet analysis

摘要
Recording of acoustic emission from rock under uniaxial compression has been carried out and the frequency spectrum characteristics obtained. A Db4 series wavelet base has been chosen to remove noise from the AE data, and the results show that the method is simple and effective. It has been found that at the Kaiser point the energy percentage of the dominant frequency band is significantly higher than other points, and the value of relevant fractal dimension is a minimum. Furthermore, the Kaiser effect appears when the ultrasonic velocity obviously declines, according to the relationship between ultrasonic velocity and AE.
