摘要
Polymethyl methacrylates (PMMA) doped with x mol%Eu3+ (x = 0, 0.05, 0.5) and 5 mol%Al3+ ions are prepared by bulk polymerization. The emission and excitation spectra of the PMMAs samples have been discussed in detail. The PMMA sample doped with 0 mol%Eu3+ can emit strong 450 nm blue luminescence under 332 nm excitation. The luminescent color of the PMMA samples can vary from blue to red with the increasing of Eu3+ ions concentration. The energy level diagrams of PMMA and Eu3+ ion describe the luminescent population processes. The photothermal conversion performance is examined to further prove the outstanding luminescent properties of the PMMA samples. As the amounts of the Eu3+ ions increase, the maximum temperature on behalf of the photothermal conversion efficiency decreases. This study is helpful to explore novel luminous material in the organic optoelectronic application.
