Applicability of Wireless Communication Techniques in Public Safety

摘要
With the rapid development of modem society, public safety becomes a rather critical issue in many countries, for that it can create a stable and secure environment, which is vital for the whole society. One of the cores in this issue is highly efficient exchange of information, with which the public safety organizations can improve the coordination with each other during emergency thus improve working efficiency. Wireless communication as a respectively mature technology can play an important role in it. This paper mainly discusses a typical concrete wireless communication technique used in public safety area, with a particular focus on USA and Europe.
