Evolution of cults of Soviet leaders in the Central Black Earth region in 1928-1934

The article is devoted to the topic of the cult of Soviet political leaders, first of all, the evolution of the image of I. V. Stalin is studied. The purpose of the study is to analyze the features, factors and circumstances of the formation of the cult of Soviet leaders in the system of mythologems of Communist propaganda. The article shows that the cults of the chairman of the regional party organization I. M. Vareikis and the “Stalin People’s Commissar” L. M. Kaganovich were the most relevant for the Central Chernozem region.
