Bend-induced distortion in microstructure and solid fibers with very large mode area

摘要：
Simulations show that bend-induced mode distortion should have it major impact on nonlinearities for fibers with very large cores, relevant to high-power amplifiers and lasers. Designs resistant to bend-induced distortion are proposed. (C) 2005 Optical Society of America.
