摘要：
The active-sterile neutrino conversion probability is calculated for a neutrino propagating in a medium in the presence of random magnetic field fluctuations. A necessary condition for the probability to be positive definite is obtained for active-sterile electron neutrino conversion in the early universe hot plasma and in a supernova. The neutrino magnetic moment obtained from the positive definiteness of the conversion probability defines the range of validity of our approximation, rather than putting any physical bound on it.
