摘要：
The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) has been using risk analysis to make investment decisions for several years on proposed major rehabilitation projects which do not involve public safety issues. Efforts are now underway to extend the use of risk analysis to the Dam Safety Assurance Program. This paper presents the procedures proposed for USACE projects and discusses some of the issues which must be resolved if risk analysis is to be used to make safety-related decisions.
