摘要
Skin cancers are the most frequently occurred cancers all around the globe as skin is the largest organ of human anatomical body. Among these cancers Basal Cell Carcinoma (BCC) is the most common. Millimeter-Wave reflectometry is one of the convenient ways to detect BCC for the sensitivity of millimeter wave to the water contents in a biological tissue. Hence, the aim of this research work was to develop a methodology to easily detect BCC and create a simulation based common platform to do further research on skin cancers. "COMSOL Multiphysics" software was used to build a simplified model. Applying FEM method, Sensitivity and reflectivity of skin layers and BCC tumor were calculated at a frequency range of 35 GHz to 95 GHz. It was observed that tumor skin cell had better reflection coefficient in the whole millimeter-wave range (35 GHz - 95 GHz) and the results were constant. In addition, it was demonstrated that the results were constant with changes in width and depth of the BCC tumor. Finally, a heat map was developed that displayed the safety of the proposed model to detect BCC tumor cell as the temperature was high only around the tumor cell.
