Critical IS management issues in the network era

A survey of IS community,vas conducted to identify key IS management issues. The survey was conducted with the list of IS key issues. The list includes seven new issues that were not used previously similar surveys. The survey was conducted with both IS practitioners and IS researchers/educators. The result of the survey reveals that telecommunications and networks are major driving forces behind the changes in rankings of IS issues. Due To the transition of IS platforms from mainframes and microcomputers to network computing, network-related issues are ranked high in rile survey. The long-term trend of issues over surveys indicates that the percentage of technical issues in top ten issues is rising white the percentage of managerial issues is declining.
