摘要：

A method has been developed for using ultrasonic waves to measure the gap between a workpiece and the die during press forming (stamping). Testing showed that when the stamping pressure is increased, the echo ratio of reflected waves decreases, that the echo ratio depends on the area of the reflective surface, and that the change in the gap during press forming can be measured using ultrasonic waves. This means that stamping quality can be improved by using the echo ratio of reflected waves to adjust the slide motion of the servo press to compensate for the gap.
