摘要
Energy-use intensity (EUI) indexes denote the energy statistical values of actual massive buildings and are classified according to building type. However, previous statistical EUIs contain significant deviations because they signify the complexes of building samples that conduct overtime operations, use aging equipment, and are partially closed and complexly mixed use. Therefore, the statistical EUIs can hardly cover the energy-use behavior of limitless building space combinations. To address this problem, this study proposed a dynamic EUI index calculation that does not define the EUI index according to building type but separates a building into 35 basic areas with different energy-use features and then combines the EUIs of these basic areas into a unique EUI index. Thereafter, this study used 4 normal buildings as examples, simulated their energy uses by using a reliable energy simulation program, and calculated their dynamic EUI indexes. The calculated dynamic EUI indexes are almost close to and slightly less than the simulated and statistical EUIs of the 4 buildings, respectively. By addressing the limitations of the previous EUI index, we developed a dynamic EUI index calculation that can evaluate the energy use of mixed-use buildings in their design period.
