摘要
The use of the vertical axis wind turbine in the urban areas is increasingly dominant, and the interest of optimizing their performances by the researchers became more important. In this paper, we aim to optimize the power output, of Darrieus-type straight-bladed vertical axis wind turbine, by orienting the blades with pitch angle for variable tip speed ratio. The results show that the tip speed ratio has a significant influence on the pitch angle and on the output power. Furthermore, a satisfactory result was obtained when the TSR increased to range 2 to 2.5 and to 3.
