摘要
This article presents the results of a case study investigation in the La Picota prison in Bogota, whose purpose is to understand the relationship between the denial of the right to education of persons deprived of liberty and the application, on the one hand, of the neoliberal doctrine that understands education as a commodity whose purpose is the qualification of human capital and, on the other hand, of the conception of education as a mechanism of social control oriented under the criterion of security. The article develops a theoretical framework that allows to understand the phenomenon of study and later analyzes the effects of the neoliberal conception and the conception of education as a mechanism of social control over the material content of the right to education based on the scheme of the 4A: Accessibility, affordability, adaptability and acceptability. Finally, it develops an analysis of the purposes that the prisoners attribute to education and contrasts them with the purposes attributed to education from the three approaches set out in the theoretical framework.
