摘要
Elena LANGLAIS and Claudine LE BLANC, Clash of Classics, and Beyond: Indian Deterritorialisations of Greek and Latin Classics (in French), RLC LXXXVI, no 4, october-december 2012, p. 411-427. What's the point in using Greek and Latin classics, when you have your own? As exemplified by the works of Michael Madhusudan Dutt and Sri Aurobindo, the use of Greek and Latin Classics in colonial India took the shape of a complex encounter with Indian classics. Beyond the assimilation of the master's canon also made by other indigenous writers of European colonial empires, Dutt and Aurobindo set up a two-determination writing in order to draw a critical comparison, but also to go beyond any kind of determination.
