Banding of angular velocity in the current-driven vortex lattice of a type-II superconductor

摘要
We phenomenologically investigate a possible mechanism of the banding of angular velocity in a current-driven vortex lattice in type-II superconductors. It is shown that the plastic motion occurs above some critical value of the applied current, resulting in a splitting in the vortex lattice. The present model can qualitatively reproduce major features of the experimental results reported by Lopez [Phys. Rev. Lett. 82, 1277 (1999)].
