INFORMATION AND EDUCATIONAL ENVIRONMENT OF THE FACULTY OF ETHNOLOGY AND SCIENCES OF EDUCATION ON THE INTERNET

This article presents examples of good practice in the creation of the information and educational environment and comprehensive, systematic and effective use of the internet services offered by The Faculty of Ethnology and Sciences of Education in Cieszyn (University of Silesia): its official web-site, distance learning platform and educational portal. The official web-site, based on the CMS Drupal system, includes all important information for lecturers, students and other users and is compatible with the site of the University of Silesia www.us.edu.pl. The distance learning platform, based on the CLMS MOODLE system is intended to: 1) provide pedagogical support for teaching programme courses, run in the full-time and part-time mode (hybrid learning), 2) train future teachers in distance learning to use e-learning in their own work and to act as tutors, 3) help teaching staff as well as graduate and post-graduate students to carry out scientific research and pedagogical experiments 4) provide access to educational materials for students and other users, 5) foster international cooperation, in particular, through international projects. The Educational portal Erudyta includes reference didactical and methodical material for school students and teachers, prepared by faculty students.
