Kinetic regularities of bulk and surface crystal nucleation in silicate glasses

摘要
The regularities of bulk and surface crystal nucleation in silicate glasses are discussed by the example of experimental data obtained by the authors at different times. The basic techniques of determining the nucleation rate are briefly outlined. The typical kinetic dependences of the number of nucleated crystals and the temperature dependences of the stationary nucleation rate are reported. Particular attention is focused on the period of nonstationary nucleation. Consideration is given to some practical methods for increasing the nucleation rate.
