摘要
In December 2011, Polish President Bronislaw Komorowski returned to Poland from a state visit to China with news that China had promised to invest billions of Euros into Poland. China has constructed and publicly announced a new grand strategy for Europe that focuses on foreign direct investment (FDI) specifically earmarked for Central and Eastern Europe. It has internal strengths and weaknesses plus external opportunities and threats. Foremost among the tasks is that China and Europe must do together to prepare for the Chinese and European team members, to understand each other's cultures, and to internalize the laws of the European Community and of member states that pertain to the management of China's investment. The bottom line here is that the image of China is at stake. This paper attempts to discuss the benefits which China as well as Central and Eastern European nations expect to realise from this grand strategy.
