摘要：

This paper intends to find the change of the teachers' role and its impact on classroom English instruction by means of comparison and contrast between the teachers' role in the traditional teaching mode and the one in multimedia internet environment. With the interviews of the 30 students and 10 teachers, the paper attempts to find the underlying factors that influence the shift and offer some advice on how to shift and perfect the teachers' role in the multi-media internet environment.
