摘要
In 1997 Conemaugh Health System (CHS), employing over 3,000 health care professionals, embarked on a redesign of the Human Resource Information System (HRIS). The redesign involved major changes in order to provide the level of services and support required of CHS. This case study describes the efforts of the Human Resource Department (HRD) to redesign a HRIS, that will meet enterprise-wide goals of cost effectiveness and efficiency at CHS. The reengineering project transformed the HRD from a historic role of transaction processing to one of strategic partner.
