摘要
Spinning reserve (SR) is an important resource, which is used by system operators to maintain system security and improve operational reliability. A certain capacity of spinning reserve must be configured in every power system. In order to make the optimization of SR more practical, a new model to optimize spinning reserve of power system with transmission line fault is proposed, which is based on cost-benefit analysis where SR requirement is determined by making compromise between system operation cost and expected interruption cost. The network constraints and the outage probability of transmission lines are taken into consideration. The network transmission power is calculated by DC power flow method which is simple to implement. The validity of this model is tested by IEEE-RTS system.
