摘要
The proper marketing is based on the knowledge of the tourism demand and target groups and influencing factors. The objective of the paper is to identify the relationship between the market share of the visitors from Russian speaking countries (Russia, Belaruss, Ukraine) on the tourism market in Slovakia and its development in the period 2004 - 2014 and the development of the average incomes of the inhabitants of these generating markets. We test the hypothesis, that this share is highly influenced by the development of the average income of the inhabitants in these countries. The hypothesis is verified by means of SPSS software and Person Chi-sqaure test. There is relativelly high direct dependance between these indicators, means the number of visitors from Russian speaking countries in Slovakia is not influenced just by marketing of the destination in these countries, but is highly dependend on the development of the macroeconomic situation in source market countries.
