摘要：
The performance of spectrally compressed optical modulation formats in the presence of Rayleigh and ASE-dominated noise are investigated and quantified. The results show that wider modulation formats outperform narrower bandwidth formats unless format-tailored filtering is used. (C)2006 Optical Society of America.
