Research on Present Situation, Problems and Countermeasures of Peasant-turned Workers in Beijing

The problems with regard to peasant-turned workers appear for a long time, it becomes more obvious along with the implementation of Chinese economic reform, and transition from planned economy to market-oriented economy. In order to solve the problems, it should be considered with systematic sights and take some countermeasures from different level and different aspect. This paper takes peasant-turned workers who have been working in Beijing as research objective, attempts to find out the countermeasures and suggestions by investigating their employment, remuneration and social security situation, and also tries to inquire the institutional and non-institutional influencing factors through analyzing the present situation.
