摘要
Five cells cascaded inverters were widely used in 6KV motor driver systems, which may be cause failure of the whole driver system with only one unit fault. This paper introduces an improved six-cell cascaded topology to solve the problem. The switching strategies to solve the cell fault for multilevel cascaded H-bridge inverters based on the PSPWM and PSSFOPWM theory is presented. Experimental results indicate that the proposed technique is effective for resolving the cell fault as well as reducing harmonics in multilevel inverters.
