Application of three-dimensional modeling and simulation in studying gas explosion in coal mine

摘要
The gas explosion is one of the most serious events in the coal mine. Because of the characteristic of the gas explosion, the methods of studying in this field are very limited. There are more and more attentions paid by the researcher of studying gas explosion in recent years. In this paper, three aspects are studied based on achievement about Generalized Tri-Prism (GTP) model of our research group and technology of three-dimensional (3D) visualization: 1) 3D modeling of strata and laneway based on GTP model; 2) the simulation of gas explosion, which include gas exploding, color, burning simulation; 3) virtual wandering and dynamic observing explosion result in the laneways; It is very important meaning for safety analysis and 'safety survey by 3D modeling and simulation of gas explosion, which is also a affective way to train workers to avoid danger when the gas explosion.
