This article first reviews the objectives and impact of The Private Securities Litigation Reform Act of 1995 (the Reform Act). It then goes on to examine the provisions of the Securities Litigation Uniform Standards Act of 1998 (the Standards Act), and concludes with a discussion of the questions raised by the Standards Act.
