摘要
This article investigates the irreversibility effects in hydromagnetic free convective flow past an infinite vertical plate embedded in a porous medium. Thermal radiation effects are also assumed to be present and the Rosseland approximation is used to describe the heat flux in the energy equation. The governing equations are non-dimensionalised by suitable transformations and the Laplace transformation technique is used to obtain exact solutions. The expressions for velocity and temperature are utilized to compute the local entropy generation number and the Bejan number. The effects of magnetic field parameter, permeability parameter, Grashof number and radiation parameter on velocity, temperature, entropy generation rate and Bejan number are analyzed and presented through graphs.
