摘要
Purple coneflower (Echinacea purpurea (L.) Meonch), a Compositae herb, is known for its immunostimulant and anti-inflammation bioactivities. In order to improve the micropropagation efficiency of this plant, the effects of Iodine and light intensity on in vitro culture of the leaf, petiole, and root explants and on regenerated bud's growth of this plant were tested. Results showed that certain concentration of KI was necessary for inducing adventitious bud and shoots growing. Plus, explants cultured under insufficient light environment may need higher concentrations of KI to maintain the culture. These finding indicated that the effects of the Iodine may be connected with photosynthesis. This research may help increase micropropagation efficiency of purple coneflower.
